What does it Cost and How do I apply?
DECISION Medicine 2011 is entirely FREE - due to generous financial support from Kaiser Permanente and the Health Plan of San Joaquin. Additional support and resources come from the University of the Pacific, St. Joseph’s Medical Center, Dameron Hospital, San Joaquin General Hospital, UC Davis Medical School, San Joaquin County Office of Education and California Pacific Medical Center.
Decision Medicine was created by the San Joaquin Medical Society to provide a unique educational experience to students throughout San Joaquin County.
Applications are only accepted online. All applications are due by April 15, 2011. The initial selection/screening process will be based upon the students Grade Point Average (GPA), answers to several questions and a submitted 200 word Essay. The top 36 - 40 applicants are then invited for a personal interview with a panel of physicians scheduled in mid - May. DECISION Medicine 2010 will accommodate 24 students this year and the final selection will be made after reviewing the students completed application with GPA confirmed, the submitted essay and their cumulative personal interview score.

Applicants must be currently enrolled in High School to Participate in Decision Medicine 2011 - Sophomores and Juniors are strongly encouraged to apply.
